At a time when we had just started with the complete demolition of the existing building at this lot, we were already facing pandemic challenges. Nevertheless, our Tico Team & Subcontractors remained resilient, working around the clock to complete this 3,520 square feet single-story new building for Dr. Tama’s Vet Hospital.

With an exterior that includes, a new parking lot, landscaping, trash enclosure, and an interior that is comprised of a reception/waiting room area along with an office, exam rooms, X-Ray room, dog/cat kennels, surgery, and treatment room, the new veterinary clinic managed to be in full operation by January 2022.

As you make your way into the new clinic’s entrance, you can observe its welcoming motto on a multi-toned stone wall accented by pendant lighting highlighting the space’s unique charm. To accommodate the clinic’s needs, surgery and treatment rooms were fitted with specialty lighting and plumbing, while the x-ray room was fitted with lead-lined sheetrock.

Notable exterior features include parking lot’s pavers as well as exterior cane lighting, which emphasize the building’s character while adding warmth to its exterior façade.

With additional challenges facing this project – from upgrading power with PG&E all the way to operating large heavy equipment in relatively tight property parameters -, Tico Construction’s expert team and subcontractors rose to the challenge, meeting the client’s goals and expectations.
